Prasad Gopalan is the author of the Experdite Reports.

Prasad is a seasoned Strategy & Change leader with a distinguished career spanning over three decades across multiple industries and cultures. His expertise lies in navigating complex business transformations—driving rapid growth, turnarounds, and post-merger integrations. Whether in family businesses, board-managed companies, billion-dollar enterprises, or SMEs, the common thread in his work has been transformation.

A Fellow Life Member of the Institute of Directors (F.IOD), India, Prasad is also a Certified Independent Director from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India.

Prasad works closely with Investors, Boards, and CXOs, shaping Business Strategy and Organizational Development. His corporate tenure includes serving as Chief Commercial Officer for the Male’ International Airport in the Maldives, AVP & Head – Leadership & Organization Development, Chief Operating Officer of a specialist machine tool manufacturing business and Manager – Business planning & Strategy, Carborundum Universal Ltd, Murugappa Group.

Since 2013, Prasad has been an independent consultant, advising boards of listed, privately held, and public sector companies worldwide on strategy and organizational development. He has been an empanelled Assessor, Coach & Facilitator with Aon Consulting and Ernst & Young, specializing in succession planning. Over the past decade, he has conducted hundreds of leadership assessments, including CEO selections. He has also worked with  Promoters / Investors to anchor difficult leadership transitions. 

Prasad is an AON-certified ADEPT Personality Assessor, a Certified Cognitive Skill Assessor and Trainer (LearningRx, USA), and a Large Group Facilitator in strategy and change, trained by the Institute of Cultural Affairs, Australia.

An Electrical Engineer with a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Prasad’s passion extends beyond boardrooms—he is also a pianist and guitarist, finding harmony in both leadership and music.
